Though their season ended nearly a month ago, fans of the Denver Broncos still had something to cheer about on Sunday. As the NFL’s best and brightest gathered in Orlando, Fla. for the Pro Bowl, the AFC, including six Broncos, emerged victorious, beating the NFC 20-13.
Each Broncos player on the AFC squad saw action, with some making a bigger impact than others. Aqib Talib had his hand in the game’s biggest play, as Lorenzo Alexander intercepted a Kirk Cousins pass and lateraled the ball to the Denver corner, who almost took it to the house, before being ran down and stripped by Cousins with a minute left in the contest (the AFC recovered).

Talib and his No Fly Zone compatriot Chris Harris Jr. each had three tackles, while Darian Stewart had one. Von Miller had three tackles, one assist, one sack, one pass defensed and was a menace in the backfield for much of the contest; though he was also called one time for offsides and another for unsportsmanlike conduct-blitzing (yes, blitzing is a penalty in the Pro Bowl).
Wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders had quiet nights, with the former catching two passes for 37 yards (including a nice one-handed grab), and the latter hauling in one pass for eight yards.
Afterwards, the AFC squad celebrated the victory as only they could.
Never stop, Von. 😂 https://t.co/1lu4O4C7Or
