Wednesday is National Dog Day, shared across social media using the hastag #NationalDogDay, and the hometown teams jumped on the trend to share some of their best images of man’s best friend.
The Colorado Avalanche made sure to commemorate the day with some love for their mascot, Bernie. Some Avs players even got into the action themselves, sharing images of their own furry friends.

Broncos receiver Nathan Palmer shot this before the morning practice. His pup even has his own Instagram account. Follow him @madmax13 (the dog, that is). Happy National Dog Day!
