The newest crop of NBA players gathered in Westchester, N.Y. for a league-organized photo and video shoot and the three Nuggets rookies featured prominently in the “All-Access” behind-the-scenes video from the league.
Jamal Murray, Juancho Hernangomez and Malik Beasley (whose contracts were all officially announced by the team on Tuesday), posed for photographers and showed off their ball-handling skills for the league’s videographers.
Beasley even showed off his gymnastics skills, doing a one-handed cartwheel before dishing a ball off the backboard to Murray, who in turn played the ball off the board to Hernangomez for the dunk. Later, Murray shows off a slick between-the-legs pass.
It’s wasn’t just the Nuggets rookies showing off, though.
“All the rookies are here,” Murray says to the camera, “having a good time.”
Buddy Hield laughs it up after he hits a three; between obligatory headshots No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons says he’s looking forward to getting on the court and playing.
Murray was definitely having a good time when he took Grizzlies guard Wade Baldwin to the basket on a dribble drive dunk.
Baldwin wasn’t too hurt though. He says its a great way to get to know the other rookies. Even if they’ll be competing against them soon, this day was all about making friends.
