Bradley Roby thinks it’s time to “level up”

Denver Broncos fans

Entering his third year in the NFL, Bradley Roby has seen significant progression from year to year to year. His Madden rating even backs that up. Roby now ranks 10 points higher than in his rookie season. Roby wasn’t talking Madden, but he and his coaches think this third season is the time for the talented cornerback to “level up.”

“I had a good year last year and it’s just that time to take that next level. I look to myself to level up but definitely the coaches, I think they feel like it’s time to level up,” Roby told Eric Goodman recently on Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7.

Those expectations mean he’ll be responsible for even more on the field this season.

“I think I am getting more responsibility, for sure,” Roby said.

Roby has no shortage of defensive greats to learn from. He looks to veterans such as Chris Harris Jr. to help grow in the NFL but doesn’t feel they will be playing similar roles this season.

“No, I don’t think we are similar. I’m not a slot corner, my first year I played slot a little bit. All last year I was outside, all this year I will be outside. I played safety a little bit and that’s a little different then slot,” Roby said. “My role is really different then the nickel.  Chris is the nickel. I am the outside corner/safety that we bring in so it’s not really the same.”

Roby started four games in 2015 with one interception, one forced fumble and recovery and one touchdown.
