The Denver Broncos just gave one of their linebackers a long-term contract and it’s not the one you expect.
Talked #Broncos LB Brandon Marshall. He has agreed to 4 yr, $32 mill deal w $20 guaranteed and $10 Mill signing bonus. Well deserved

Thrilled that our team has agreed to terms with LB Brandon Marshall on a four-year extension. He's become an integral part of our defense.

It’s important to note, as Troy Renck of the Denver Post points out, that this is a contract extension, not a new contract, meaning that the money will be added on to his 2016 tender offer.
Marshall's contract extension is for 2017-2020.. Will play for tender amount of $2.53 million this season.Strong deal for Marshall, #Broncos

As constructed, the contract will make Marshall the eighth highest-paid inside linebacker in the NFL, according to spotrac.com, and he couldn’t be happier.
#Broncos Marshall to The Post on contract extension: "This means the world. It means everything to me to be a Bronco."

Is this the domino that helps push Von Miller’s deal towards completion? Or is this a sign that the Broncos have truly moved on from negotiations?
We’ll see … Until then, congrats Brandon Marshall!
