The Broncos received quite the scare on Sunday when Gary Kubiak was taken to the hospital in an ambulance with flu-like symptoms following the team’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The last time he suffered from an in-game illness, it turned out to be a minor stroke.
Luckily, Kubiak’s health concerns don’t look to be nearly as serious this time around, but according to John Elway, they’re still serious enough that the Denver Broncos head coach won’t travel with the team to San Diego for their Thursday night matchup.
Gary Kubiak will have this week off, will be back on Monday. Will not coach the San Diego Chargers game #Broncos

Offensive coordinator Joe DeCamillis will serve as the interim head coach in Kubiak’s stead.
