If there was any uncertainty about who would play quarterback for the Denver Broncos on Thursday, Trevor Siemian seems to have put that to rest.

Siemian, who suffered an AC join sprain to his non-throwing shoulder two weeks ago against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was reportedly close to being ready for Sunday’s matchup against the Falcons before being pulled from the lineup on Saturday.
Paxton Lynch got the start in his stead, playing a role in the Broncos’ first loss of the year.
Luckily, his time on the sideline allowed Siemian to get a head start on the Chargers during a short week.

It’s important to note, though, that Siemian is not yet fully healthy and won’t be for awhile. It’s a pain tolerance issue, and apparently Siemian is at the point where he can tolerate the pain — but it’s close.
When asked if he could play if there was a game today, he responded, “I’m lucky there is not one.”
Siemian is 4-0 as the Broncos starting quarterback, and he’ll be looking to keep that record clean when he takes on the San Diego Chargers in primetime.
