It took six games and a bye, but the Denver Broncos finally found the end zone in the first quarter of a football game.
One their second possession Sunday against Green Bay, Peyton Manning and Gary Kubiak used a balanced attack – including a beautifully executed Manning bootleg – to engineer a nine-play, 83-yard touchdown drive capped by a Ronnie Hillman rushing touchdown from the one yard line.
Here’s how the drive played out on Twitter…
Hillman showing good patience, seeking the hole.

Hillman was full-speed and in full stride as he turned the corner. Beautiful.

#Broncos Manning to DT…that's what a running game can do for you.

And the #Broncos score their first touchdown in the first quarter. It goes to Ronnie Hillman. 7-0. Denver

The playfake boot worked. The running game worked. The offense got it done in the red zone. It was the first six weeks, reversed.
