Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton has his work cut out for him this offseason, and the same will apply for next season as he prepares to go down some familiar roads in 2024. Who are the Broncos home and away opponents for next season?
Denver Broncos 2024 opponents set
It will be a blast from the past for Payton as the Broncos will take on the NFC South, AFC North, AFC West, and the third-place finishers in the AFC South, NFC West, and AFC East.
Denver will host eight home games next season and will be on the road for nine games in 2024.
The Broncos will host at home:
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Cleveland Browns
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Atlanta Falcons
- Carolina Panthers
- Indianapolis Colts
Of Denver’s home schedule, three of the teams they face next season are all playoff teams (Chiefs, Steelers, Browns). Four of the teams the Broncos will host at home next season will all have a brand new head coach in 2024.
Here are the teams the Broncos will face on the road:
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Baltimore Ravens
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- New Orleans Saints
- Seattle Seahawks
- New York Jets
This is a tough road slate of opponents for the Broncos. Highlighted will be matchups against two playoff teams from 2023 (Ravens, Buccaneers). Sean Payton’s homecoming to New Orleans will be something to highlight.
Denver will also face Lamar Jackson, who is the current frontrunner for the NFL’s MVP award in 2023, and the return of Joe Burrow, who suffered a season-ending injury this season.
One of the bigger questions surrounding Denver’s schedule in 2024 is whether or not the Broncos will face Russell Wilson, who the team is expected to part ways with in March. Could Wilson potentially sign with the Raiders, Falcons, or Steelers in the offseason?
Buckle up, Broncos Country.
