New year, officially, and new jerseys for a lot of your favorite Denver Broncos players.
The biggest change out there is No. 30, Phillip Lindsay, a Denver native who will sport Terrell Davis’ former number. Davis, a recently-enshrined Hall of Famer, signed off on Lindsay wearing his No. 30, which is awesome considering Lindsay worshiped TD as a youngster.

Lindsay has impressed everyone with the Broncos — from coaches to teammates — with his speedy, shifty running style. The kid has speed and quickness, he possesses solid vision, and he can catch the ball out of the backfield. Oh, and just like Davis, the rookie plays with hustle on special teams.
Here’s a quick look at all the other jersey number changes for the Broncos:

Royce Freeman went from No. 37 to No. 28, not to be confused with former back Montee Ball. Freeman is a big, bruising back, and if his preseason play is any indication, his one-cut-and-go style is actually more like TD’s old running style than Lindsay’s.
Josey Jewell, a punishing inside linebacker, has changed to No. 47, while Adam “Pacman” Jones has taken Champ Bailey’s old number, 24. Jewell will be a key component as a backup to Brandon Marshall and Todd Davis in the middle of the defense, if he ends up being called upon. Of course, he’ll impact the Broncos on special teams as a rookie, too.
Jones will be the punt returner in earnest, but he’ll also be adding to the depth at defensive back, playing in sure-fire passing situations.
And we can’t forget about Ben Hogan, the new quarterback in town, who will sport No. 9.
Denver is currently preparing to kick off their regular season this Sunday as they host the Seattle Seahawks and their “Legion of Who” at 2:25 p.m. MST.
