It’s been an unfortunate start to the season for the Denver Nuggets.

Denver’s 0-2, and while Nikola Jokic had 41 points on Saturday night, it wasn’t enough to claim Denver’s first win of the season.

James Harden, Norman Powell, and the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Nuggets in a low scoring affair on Saturday. Jamal Murray bounced back a little, but the Nuggets bench remains worrisome. After a 7-of-25 scoring performance in the opener, the bench went 3-of-18 in the second game. That’s not great.

Now, the Nuggets are going on the road for a three-game road trip against the Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, and Minnesota Timberwolves. Is going on the road just what the Nuggets need? Or are the problems just getting started for Denver?

On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn discusses the Denver Nuggets 109-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, including what was a truly abhorrent offensive performance until Nikola Jokic took over the game. The Nuggets still lost, but did they figure anything out in the process? Ryan discusses Jamal Murray, Russell Westbrook, Michael Porter Jr., Peyton Watson, and much more. Then, he previews the Nuggets three-game road trip with the Toronto Raptors tonight.
