While the Colorado Rockies are hard at work down in Scottsdale, Ariz., their front office is putting in the hours as well. On Tuesday, they announced that the have finalized the one-year contracts of 25 players.

Amongst the bevy of names, you will find players at various stages in their development. Some will likely spend the season in the minors. Others might get a call-up in September. Others still are competing for spots. There are also some that the Rockies will expect a lot of in 2017.
Shortstop Trevor Story figures to play a large part in the Rockies’ present and future; and is an unquestionable budding star in their lineup. Tyler Anderson, Chad Bettis and Jon Gray are locks for the rotation, with Jeff Hoffman fighting to join them. Dustin Garneau, Tom Murphy and Tony Wolters are competing for the two cather spots. Currently sidelined, David Dahl is expected to challenge Gerardo Parra to start in left field.
