Following Colorado State’s 2016 home opener, 5280 Sports Network’s Rich Kurtzman recaps the 23-14 win for the Rams over UT-San Antonio.
Despite a disappointing crowd in attendance and an inconsistent performance, Kurtzman says there were some bright spots. And in the end, CSU does have their first win of the year.
It was the running game that was the strength of the Rams’ performance. Dalyn Dawkins ran for 68 yards and a touchdown and Izzy Matthews added a touchdown and 49 yards as the Rams put up 220 yards on the ground.
