The University of Colorado men’s basketball team struggled in-conference, going 8-10. Still, senior Derrick White found his place among the Pac-12’s elite.
On Monday, White was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team. He leads Colorado with 17.0 points, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game. The guard is the second-leading scorer in the Pac-12 during league games at 18.5 an outing.
White was also named to the Pac-12’s All-Defensive Team. A native of Parker, Colo.. his 45 blocks are the most by a guard in team history and his 1.5 per game rank fifth overall in the conference (best amongst guards).
Colorado, 18-13 overall, now heads to the 2017 Pac-12 Tournament at the T-Mobile Arena, March 8-11 in Las Vegas. The seventh-seeded Buffaloes will face No. 10 seed Washington State in a first round game on Wednesday, March 8, at 7 p.m. MT.
