Less then a day after the Denver Broncos lost to the Minnesota Vikings in their first preseason game of the year 42-28 at Broncos Stadium at Mile High, the Broncos added an offensive tackle who has risen through the ranks in Colorado in Austin Fleer off waivers, while waiving tackle Leon Johnson in the process.

Fleer becomes the fourth collegiate player on the Broncos current roster who attended college in the state of Colorado, joining Phillip Lindsay and Bryce Bobo (Colorado) and Shaquil Barrett (Colorado State.) Fleer attended Grandview High School in Aurora, Colo., and was born on June 1, 1995.

Fleer (6-7, 306 pounds) is a rookie from Colorado Mesa University who played 37 games (32 starts) during his collegiate career.

Signed by Cincinnati as a college free agent on May 11, Fleer was selected to the All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First Team following his junior and senior season.
