The Denver Broncos haven’t been shy about talking about adding valuable depth to the trenches on both sides of the ball, and with the 111th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, they selected Boise State offensive lineman Kage Casey.
Denver Broncos add OL depth with Boise State OL Kage Casey
While the Denver Broncos starting offensive line is set, they were focused on continuing to build depth inside the trenches alongside Alex Palczewski and Frank Crum.
Kage Casey started and played in 13 games at left tackle in 2025, playing over 942 offensive snaps. He started 14 games at left tackle in his redshirt freshman season in 2023, all 14 games at left tackle in 2024, and didn’t allow a single sack that season.
Casey was part of a Boise State Broncos team that also featured the nation’s most prolific rusher in Ashton Jeanty, on a unit that averaged over 240.4 yards per game on the ground. The Broncos believe he can play any position on the offensive line, and his versatility to be able to do that gives them flexibility with how they maneuver their offensive line going into the future.
He met with the Broncos first at the Senior Bowl, then had a formal interview with them during the NFL Combine, where the Broncos pulled up some of his game tape, and they went over it together.
Shortly after he was drafted, Casey said he’s willing to play anywhere the Broncos need him to and outlined what he feels he’ll bring to the team.
“I think I play quick,” Casey said. “Aggressive, football intelligence, my ability to read the field and slow down the game for myself. See pressure and see where a defender is going to be moving post-snap allows me to play fast. I’m an extremely consistent guy, I’m disciplined, and I’m ready to learn wherever I need to be.”
