The Broncos announced their coaching changes for 2025 on Thursday. New coaches in Denver this season are as follows.
- Darren Rizzi – Special Teams Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach
- Chris Morgan – Assistant Offensive Line
- Evan Rothstein – Director of Game Management/OL Assistant
- Todd Davis – Defensive Quality Control
- Marwan Maalouf – Assistant Special Teams
- Zach Line – Special Teams Quality Control
- Taylor Porter – Assistant Strength and Conditioning
Coaches who were already on staff but received in-house promotions or title changes are as follows.
- Zach Strief – Offensive Run Game Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach
- Davis Webb – Offensive Pass Game Coordinator/Quarterbacks
- Austin King – Tight Ends
- Jim Leonhard – Defensive Pass Game Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach
- Addison Lynch – Cornerbacks
- Isaac Shewmaker – Linebackers
- Shaun Snee – Director of Strength and Conditioning
Davis, a former Broncos Super Bowl 50 champion, joins Payton’s staff after he served as a training camp intern last season. He also played for Payton in New Orleans.
Line is another former NFL player who played for Payton in New Orleans in 2017 through 2019 and now joins his coaching tree from the former player-to-coach pipeline. He’ll assist Rizzi and Maalouf with special teams.
The promotions for Strief, Webb, and Leonhard are big moves for the team as they elevate their roles on staff. King was an assistant who helped coach the offensive line last season and will now transition to tight ends. Shewmaker was also on staff last season as a defensive quality control coach.
Lynch worked with the defense and secondary in a quality control role last season and will now be coaching the cornerback specifically this upcoming season.
Now, the Denver Broncos can focus solely on their strategy for next week’s free agency frenzy as they look to upgrade the roster in several areas.
