Next up on the Denver Broncos’ offseason schedule will be their rookie minicamp, which is set to take place this weekend. Before they take the field at Dove Valley, the eight individuals they selected in the 2017 NFL Draft will need jersey numbers.
On Wednesday, the Broncos handed those numbers out.

The two most notable of the assigned jersey numbers likely belong to tight end Jake Butt and quarterback Chad Kelly; both of which had previously been divulged, Butt’s No. 80 has previously belonged to tight end Julius Thomas and legendary wide receiver Rod Smith. Kelly’s No. 6 has a little less of an illustrious past, having belonged to quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Jake Butt.
Former University of Northern Colorado quarterback Kyle Sloter, who signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent, took to Twitter to announce what number he will wear.
Happy to announce that I will be wearing number 1 for the Broncos!
