The Denver Broncos wrapped up their second practice of the week on Thursday as they continue to prepare for Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. For the second consecutive day, they did not have their starting cornerback opposite of Patrick Surtain II participate at practice.

Denver Broncos Thursday Injury Report

Following Thursday’s practice, the Denver Broncos released their official injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Colts. Denver only has two players listed on their injury report, which is a great sign as these final four games will prove to be crucial for their postseason ambitions.

Safety Brandon Jones was a limited participant at practice for the second consecutive day as he continues to deal with an abdomen (groin) injury that he suffered in the Broncos’ win against the Cleveland Browns. He was present for team stretch and participated in individual period with the safeties.

Friday’s practice will be the biggest indicator of his status on Sunday. If he’s somehow unable to go, it will be Devon Key, who will likely get the start next to P.J. Locke in Jones’ absence.

Cornerback Riley Moss did not participate for the second consecutive day in a row as he continues to recover from an MCL sprain. With him missing two consecutive days in a row, this puts his status into question for Sunday’s game. He participated in team stretch before heading off to the side field once again.

Right now, it’s unclear whether or not rookie Kris Abrams-Draine, Damarri Mathis, or veteran Levi Wallace will get the start in his place if he’s unable to go. Abrams-Draine shined in the preseason and didn’t flinch when he got thrown into the fire during Monday Night Football. Mathis played well in the dime for Denver but has experience starting on the outside.

Wallace, while coming off of the worst game of his career, as he admitted, said he’s eager to bounce back.
