The Denver Broncos will be down starting cornerback Riley Moss for Monday Night Football against the Cleveland Browns. Who will step up in his place and what does the rest of the injury report look like?

Denver Broncos CB Riley Moss ruled out vs. Cleveland Browns

When the Denver Broncos take the field on Monday Night against Jameis Winston and the Cleveland Browns, they’ll be doing so without starting cornerback Riley Moss, who will miss the game with an MCL injury.

Moss suffered the injury near the end of the first half in Sunday’s win against the Las Vegas Raiders and did not return. After the game, Broncos head coach Sean Payton said Moss suffered an MCL injury and avoided something serious. What does this mean for the cornerback depth on Monday without him?

The team already has Damarri Mathis, Tremon Smith, rookie Kris Abrams-Draine, and Levi Wallace on the active roster. Abrams-Draine has been a weekly inactive due to the depth, and he could potentially see his first activation of the season on Monday.

Wallace will more than likely be the one who gets the start at corner opposite of Patrick Surtain II when Denver goes into their nickel and base package. Ja’Quan McMillian has the tools and ability to play on the outside as well, but he’ll be the primary nickel. When Denver transitions into their dime package, it may mean more three-safety looks versus there being another cornerback in the slot opposite of him, which likely means Devon Key will be a dime package addition.

Wide receiver Josh Reynolds is listed as questionable, which means he could be activated on Monday if the team makes a corresponding roster move on Sunday.
