The Denver Broncos will be down three starters on the offensive side of the ball when they host AFC West Divisional rival, the Los Angeles Chargers, on Sunday. Two of the starters ruled out of the game are on the offensive line, while one of Denver’s key receivers will miss the game.

After missing each day of practice this week, the Denver Broncos have ruled out starting center Luke Wattenberg, right tackle Alex Palczewski, and wide receiver Josh Reynolds for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Wattenberg didn’t appear outside once this week, while Palczewski appeared on the team’s side field and seems like he’ll be back sooner rather than later. There’s some concern that Wattenberg may miss several weeks due to a lower leg and ankle injury that he suffered in Denver’s win this past Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. The fact that Palczewski is doing work on the side field is a more promising sign about his future status, even though the return of Mike McGlinchey looms near.

Reynolds will miss Sunday’s game after having surgery on his finger, as first reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC2. As of Friday, the team did not make any IR moves with Reynolds, Wattenberg, or Palczewski, but something like that could take place on Saturday if the team does officially activate rookie running back Audric Estime, who was a full participant all week at practice.

Estime (ankle) and cornerback Damarri Mathis (ankle) are listed as questionable after the team opened up their 21-day window to return from IR. After 21 days, the team will have to put them on the active roster, or they’ll revert to staying on IR for the remainder of the season, which is unlikely to happen for both of them.

The Los Angeles Chargers have ruled out running back Gus Edwards, cornerback Asante Samuel Jr., and cornerback Ja’Sir Taylor for Sunday’s game, while listing offensive tackle Rashawn Slater, outside linebacker Joey Bosa, cornerback Kristian Fulton, linebacker Nick Niemann, and defensive back Deane Leonard as questionable.

Kickoff is set for 2:05 p.m. MT on CBS.
