In the latest installment of our Denver Broncos Film Room, Bo Nix shined against the Kansas City Chiefs with some elite level throws and accomplished one of the hardest tasks possible in an NFL game.

Denver Broncos Film Room: Bo Nix cooks the Chiefs defense in Week 18

Bo Nix came up big for the Denver Broncos in their Week 18 regular season finale. The stakes were high for Denver even if Kansas City rested their starters.

Nix came out swinging, going 18-for-18 passing at one point of the game before he threw his first incompletion. He’d go on to finish the game 26-of-29 passing for 321 yards and four touchdowns. From a scheme standpoint, the Chiefs’ defense played Denver’s offense the same way they would have had it been the starters.

Steve Spagnuolo sent pressure quite a bit on third down, and the Chiefs primarily looked to jam Courtland Sutton at the line of scrimmage while keeping a safety over the top. Nix caught the Chiefs in Cover 2 on a few occasions, which led to big plays from Sutton and an incredible catch and throw from Nix to Devaughn Vele.

Our next film review will feature the Broncos offense and defense against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Wildcard Round of the playoffs.
