Denver Broncos set initial 53-man roster for 2025 season

Denver Broncos Training Camp:

August 12, 2025, Englewood, CO — Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton during training camp practice.

Roster cut day is always a stressful day for players around the NFL, and the Denver Broncos trimmed theirs from 90 to 53 players, with several surprise moves as they made up their best opening day roster.

Denver Broncos finalize 53-man roster

The Denver Broncos 53-man roster contains 24 players on offense, 26 players on defense, and three key specialists in the kicking game.

Broncos offense (24)

Broncos defense (26)

Broncos special teams (3)

As teams jostle for players for their practice squads over the next 48 hours, the Broncos will make more moves to fill out their own. Head coach Sean Payton and general manager George Paton have been adept at utilizing the Broncos’ practice squad over the course of the last two seasons to manage depth and take advantage of matchups with game-day elevations, so there’s a possibility that today’s 53 won’t be the same ones that face off against the Tennessee Titans when the season opens on Sunday, September 7th, so be sure to follow Mile High Sports for all the latest transactions.
