The Denver Broncos were back on the practice field for the first time today since they beat the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.

Right guard Quinn Meinerz was the only notable player who was not spotted at practice today. Broncos head coach Sean Payton said that Meinerz is all good and that he should be fine.

With preparation set on the Philadelphia Eagles, the Broncos are hoping one of Payton’s key pieces on offense will be cleared to play before kickoff.

Tight end Nate Adkins left Monday’s game after coming up wobbly after a play. He went into the blue medical tent during the game and did not return.

Adkins is in concussion protocol, and with it being a short week before they play the Eagles on Sunday, there’s always a chance he won’t clear protocol before then. Sean Payton has called Adkins’ role inside of his offense as ‘important’, and certainly you saw that with him and Courtland Sutton demolishing Bengals defenders on J.K. Dobbins’ 17-yard run in the fourth quarter to get him over 100 yards.

He was on the practice field during team stretch and warmups, which is a positive sign regarding where he’s at in the protocol itself, and upgraded from a DNP on Wednesday to a limited participant for Thursday.

If he’s unable to go on Sunday, Lucas Krull will likely be active after he was inactive for Monday’s game.

Other Denver Broncos on this week’s injury report

Wide receiver Marvin Mims (hip/ankle) and outside linebacker Jonah Elliss (ribs) were listed on Wednesday’s estimation report as limited participants if the Broncos had practiced.

Today, Mims and Elliss were limited participants in practice, but they should be good to go this week.

Outside linebacker Nik Bonitto (wrist) and Inside linebacker Alex Singleton (thumb) were full participants on Thursday.

For the most part, the Broncos should be going into Sunday’s game against the Eagles relatively healthy in a matchup that will serve as a measuring stick for this team as they aim to improve to 3-2 on the year.
