The Denver Broncos made a handful of difficult decisions yesterday while formulating their initial 53-man roster. Now they’ve put together their initial 15-man practice squad with one spot remaining.

Denver Broncos formulate 16-man practice squad

A handful of players who were cut by the Denver Broncos on Tuesday were brought back onto the team’s practice squad, which is a positive sign regarding the overall depth of the team, a team that is returning a large core of players from last season.

Here are the players who are returning to the team’s practice squad.

Ehlinger, Throckmorton, and Prentice were three vested veterans who had the chance to sign elsewhere but chose to return to Denver. Ehlinger had several offers from other teams, but ultimately decided to stay in Denver with Bo Nix, Jarrett Stidham, and Davis Webb coaching the position room.

Throckmorton was one of the tough cuts initially yesterday, with the Broncos wanting to bring him back. Prentice will likely be the name promoted from the practice squad to the gameday roster until Nate Adkins returns, especially after the Broncos placed fullback Michael Burton on injured reserve, ending his season.

Lohner, Turner, Taylor, Robinson, Miller, Newsome, Wallow, Michalski, and A.T. Perry will continue to work and develop on the roster.
