The Denver Broncos have announced their list of inactive players ahead of this afternoon’s kickoff against the Los Angeles Chargers in the team’s home finale at Empower Field at Mile High. What’s the status of wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Marvin Mims, who were listed as questionable prior to kickoff?
Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is ACTIVE vs. Chargers, Marvin Mims ruled out
Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was listed as questionable on Friday after missing practice due to an illness. He has been officially ruled as active for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
Rookie wide receiver Marvin Mims will not play today and is inactive after suffering a hamstring injury during Thursday’s practice. In the interim, the Broncos elevated wide receiver Phillip Dorsett from the practice squad, and he’ll more than likely play the role that Mims does inside of Sean Payton’s offense.
After the team placed running back Dwayne Washington on the reserve/illness list, the team promoted practice squad wide receiver Michael Bandy to the active roster.
Wide receiver Courtland Sutton and outside linebacker Baron Browning were ruled out on Friday with concussions and will not play. Center Alex Forsyth, safety JL Skinner, defensive lineman Elijah Garcia, and outside linebacker Thomas Incoom round out the usual inactives on the list.
Nik Bonitto will start at outside linebacker in place of Browning opposite Jonathon Cooper. Ronnie Perkins will play rotational pass rush minutes behind Bonitto, Cooper, and Drew Sanders.
All the action kicks off for the Broncos in just under 90 minutes.
