Denver Broncos make blockbuster trade for former Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle

The Denver Broncos have made a huge splash after not making any moves in NFL Free Agency, trading for former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

The best part about the deal is that the Broncos did not have to part ways with any players to make the deal happen, and now they’ve strengthened their wide receiver room even further.

Waddle will now join a wide receiver room that consists of Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, and Pat Bryant. You can include Lil’Jordan Humphrey into that as well for the training camp roster.

Denver now acquires a WR1 that can take some pressure off of Sutton, who saw bracket coverage every single game.

Waddle had 910 yards in 16 games last season, hauling in 64 receptions and six touchdowns as part of an up-and-down Dolphins offense that fell off compared to a few years ago.

Waddle, in just five seasons in the league, has 5039 receiving yards, 373 catches, and 26 touchdowns, and will add an instant dynamic to the Broncos offense for Bo Nix this season.

Broncos trade for Waddle details

The Broncos had significant interest in Waddle at the NFL Trade Deadline last year, but the asking price was too much for Denver to pull the trigger. Now, they land an elite level wide receiver to pair up with Sutton and Bo Nix.
