Broncos Country, you won’t have to wait much longer before the Denver Broncos are back on the field in preparation for the 2025 NFL season. Even though fans won’t be able to attend these practices or sessions, it all leads to training camp, where a limited number of fans will be able to attend compared to years past due to ongoing construction.

When will the team begin their offseason program?

Once the NFL Draft concludes, the timeline for the Denver Broncos to take the field for OTAs and minicamp shortly follows. Then, a one-month break ensues before the team reports for training camp at the end of July.

Denver will only have two weeks of OTAs instead of three like they had last offseason. April 21 will be the first day of the team’s offseason conditioning program which leads directly into the NFL Draft, which takes place on April 24. One month after the draft concludes, the team will conduct OTAs on May 27-28 and June 3-5.

Mandatory minicamp will be on June 10-12 before players and coaches head off for several weeks leading into training camp.

The tempo and theme of OTAs and minicamp will be an entree into the start of training camp, where Sean Payton manages the balance of building callousness in anticipation for a physical and grueling season and tracking the wear and tear. Contact is not permitted during minicamp or OTAs and everything will be against air, with run-through’s being emphasized for defensive players.

What will the storyline be for the Broncos in OTAs, though? Last year, we all watched the quarterback competition between Bo Nix, Jarrett Stidham, and Zach Wilson. This year, the Broncos have their long-term starter established.

Perhaps the new additions of Talanoa Hufanga, Evan Engram, and Dre Greenlaw will be largely under the microscope, or will Nix have a rookie running back or wide receiver to bring up to speed?
