The news that everybody has been waiting for has arrived. What number will Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix wear this upcoming season when he takes the field?
Denver Broncos rookie numbers announced for 2024
While the Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with several members of their rookie draft class ahead of rookie minicamp, jersey numbers have been announced for their 2024 NFL Draft class.
Bo Nix, who we all assume will be the Broncos’ Day-1 starter in Dove Valley, will wear #10 this upcoming season.
The team announced the number assignments on Thursday.
Broncos rookie jersey numbers
Here is the list of assignments for this year’s rookie class.
No. 10 – Bo Nix
No. 16 – Troy Frankin
No. 31 – Kris Abrams-Draine
No. 37 – Audric Estime
No. 52 – Jonah Elliss
No. 66 – Nick Gargiulo
No. 81 – Devaughn Vele
Nix was able to secure #10 after Zach Wilson opted to wear #4 on Thursday. Last season, Jarrett Stidham wore #4 but made the switch to #8.
For Broncos fans, it’s safe to assume that Nix will remain with #10, which means you can now head to the team store or online and secure yourself a Bo Nix jersey from one of the three new team jerseys from the Mile High Collection.
After Ben DiNucci’s release on Wednesday, it will be interesting to see if Nix’s teammate from Oregon, Troy Franklin, will change his number to #11.
It’s tough to see Abrams-Draine wearing #31 so early for the Broncos after Justin Simmons wore that number throughout the course of his entire NFL career in Denver, but with him not being on the roster and various jerseys up for grabs, it makes sense.
After Tim Patrick made the switch last year from #81 to #12, fellow Utah wide receiver and now Denver Bronco Devaughn Vele will wear #81 this upcoming season.
For the rookie class outside of Nix, if you’re thinking of purchasing a jersey, my best suggestion would be to wait until the 53-man roster is set to be on the safe side with actual numbers, which are subject to change.
