When the Denver Broncos take the field tomorrow on Christmas Day to take on the Kansas City Chiefs, they’ll be without several key starters.

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw (hamstring) was ruled out after he suffered the hamstring injury in question during Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They also ruled out linebacker Karene Reid (hamstring), who is still on injured reserve and in the time frame of his 21-day window.

Luckily for Denver, linebacker Justin Strnad (foot) was back this week and will start alongside Alex Singleton on Thursday, providing some much-needed relief at the position.

Starting center Luke Wattenberg (shoulder) was also ruled out for Thursday’s game, which means that Alex Forsyth will likely get the start. Forsyth started a handful of games last season with Bo Nix, including a road game against the Chiefs, but this will be his first start of the season.

Tight end Nate Adkins (knee) and wide receiver Pat Bryant (concussion) are the other two players ruled out. Denver did not make any roster moves on Wednesday prior to departing for Kansas City, but they could make some moves, including announcing their practice squad elevations for tomorrow’s game ahead of kickoff.
