The Denver Nuggets announced their first group of pre-draft workouts on Thursday. While none of the names fly off of the page, there is some NBA level-talent in the group.
If the Nuggets added Jovanovic next to Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic and then proceeded to bring over Nikola Radicevic, it would be as if the Nuggets were attempting to start an all out war against any color commentary that may be covering the Nuggets.
Josh Scott is a four-year player from University of Colorado, who is 6-foot-10 and averaged 16.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in his senior year. He is a non-athlete in NBA terms, but he does bring a ton of offensive versatility and scoring. His ceiling is along the lines of David Lee. Given that he is the hometown kid, he will have a lot of local support. Look for a great showing out of Scott.
While all of these prospects seem to be toward the end of the first round and into the early second round, they do not hold much information in the way of who we may be thinking about drafting in the seventh, 15th, or 19th pick. My thought is that the Nuggets are scouting more of the second round and a lot of prospects that may go undrafted.
