For the newest Denver Nuggets Daily Podcast, T.J. McBride dives into the Nuggets back to back wins over the San Antonio Spurs and the Phoenix Suns on back-to-back nights.
First off, on Friday night, the Nuggets beat the Spurs 102-99 in what was one of the stranger finishes of any NBA game all year. Denver, who were already without six players due to injury, lost both Nikola Jokic and Torrey Craig as they each fouled out of the game in the fourth quarter. To make things worse, both Jamal Murray and Malik Beasley sprained their ankles late in the game as well, but Denver still found a way to win.
Then, the Nuggets traveled to Phoenix to take on the Suns for their second game of the back-to-back. Denver came away with a 122-118 win, but the game should have never been that close. Thankfully, Murray put up a whopping 46 points, six rebounds and eight assists while Jokic chipped in 23 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists as Denver escaped with their 23rd win of the year.
