The Denver Nuggets are back in action after a few nights off and will welcome the Charlotte Hornets to Pepsi Center Wednesday evening. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. MST.

Denver Sports Betting is here to give you a preview of the action from a gambling perspective.

The Nuggets opened as -12.5 favorites, and that number has since dropped a point to 11.5. Still, 58% of public votes are coming in on Denver.

The Nuggets are just 13-17-3 ATS when favored. Additionally, the Hrotners are 12-10-1 ATS on the road this season.

Denver last played on Sunday when they defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 114-104. Denver’s win versus Los Angeles came after an embarrassing home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Denver should win and cover easily against a pitiful Hornets team, but the Nuggets have had lapses in the past, as evident in their lastest game versus the Cavaliers.

Charlotte has struggled this season, posting a record of 15-28. The Hornets are just 2-8 in their last 10 games and are currently on a five-game losing streak.

The Hornets offense will struggle against Denver’s defense. Charlotte averages just over 104 points per game, which is the second-lowest mark in the NBA.

The Nuggets defense has been arguably their best straight this season, allowing an average of 105.4 points per game. While Denver’s offense has been lackluster at times, their defense has been able to keep them in games.

The over/under is set at 208, after opening at 212.5. 72% of public bets are heading towards the over.

Denver should blast the Hornets out of Pepsi Center tonight, which makes the Money Line play enticing; however, the spread it a bit dicey.

The Nuggets are better than the Hornets in every capacity on paper, but Denver has been unable to string together consistent, quality play to solidify blowout victories. The spread for the game is massive, and hard to play with firm confidence.

That said, the Nuggets should win this game with ease.
