The Colorado Rockies beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-7 Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t all good news. Star second baseman DJ LeMahieu was lost to a knee injury.
LeMahieu injured his knee diving for a ball hit off the bat of Diamondbacks slugger Paul Goldschmidt.

Following the game, LeMahieu said the knee was feeling “sore” and added that the knee was feeling “weak.”
LeMahieu is in a walking brace and is unsure if he will miss anytime at this point.
“No, I don’t know.” LeMahieu said in reference to if he would miss time with the injury. “Hopefully ready tomorrow, we’ll see how it feels when I wake up. I want to be out there, so we’ll see how it goes.”
LeMahieu and the Rockies should learn more tomorrow.

The Rockies could opt to play either Christian Adames or Daniel Descalso at second base if LeMahieu ends up missing time.
