The Broncos will face the Chiefs on Sunday in a game that Denver cannot afford to lose. A second consecutive loss to its AFC West rival, would be devastating to Denver’s chances of making the playoffs. But thanks to the Chad Kelly incident and a misleading report from TMZ, the players in the locker room have had to deal with a variety of distractions throughout the week.

Eric Goodman and Doug Ottewill (Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7), spoke with defensive tackle Domata Peko Wednesday afternoon, and the always-cheerful, Peko broke down the situation. Peko explained that despite the rumors that circulated after the players threw their annual Halloween party Monday, for the most part, it was a great bonding experience for the guys on the roster.

“You guys have been here for years. You know we always have that Halloween party,” Peko said.

According to Peko, if ‘Swag’ Kelly would have not gotten in trouble, nobody would have even focused on the event, and the rumors of chaos in the locker room would have never come up.

“I think that they were just looking at someone get in trouble I guess, and trying to make it look like s*** is going crazy in here,” Peko said, referring to the Broncos locker room. “But you can see everyone in here is pretty chill and ready to go. Everyone seems like they’re locked in.”
