Ed McCaffrey has a long legacy with the Denver Broncos. As a wide receiver, he played for the team; winning two Super Bowls. As a color commentator, he covered the team, seeing them win yet another title.
Two chapters of a fascinating story. Now, the broadcast chapter is coming to a close.
On Friday, McCaffrey announced he is stepping away from the booth, where he has served as the color commentator for Broncos games on KOA-850 AM. He is also leaving his radio show on Denver Sports 760.
Now, McCaffrey and wife Lisa will be able to watch their sons play. One (Max McCaffrey) is in the NFL, one (Christian McCaffrey) will be soon, another (Dylan McCaffrey) will be at Michigan next season, while still another (Luke McCaffrey) is playing in high school.
“I’m also looking forward to Football Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, (some Mondays and Thursdays) with Lisa and my boys,” Ed McCaffrey said on Instagram.
