The Denver Nuggets had two opportunities to advance toe the second round over the Los Angeles Clippers after taking a critical Game 5 win. Now, after losing Game 6, they’re down to just one shot.

The Nuggets lost 111-105 to a desperate Clippers squad. James Harden played 47 minutes. Kawhi Leonard played a ton. Norman Powell made big plays. Nicolas Batum was fantastic off the bench. The Nuggets…just didn’t have it to the degree they needed to. The defense wasn’t as locked in, the decision making offensively wasn’t crisp, and the Nuggets just didn’t do what they needed to do.

On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn breaks down the Denver Nuggets loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6, missing a big opportunity to advance to the next round and get some rest in the process. Now, the Nuggets need Game 7 to do it, something they’ve struggled with before.

Ryan breaks down the bad process from Nikola Jokic, Denver’s bad defense, and the prospect of another Game 7.
