The Denver Broncos traded away long-time and beloved wide receiver Demaryius Thomas Tuesday morning, hours before the trade deadline in exchange for a fourth-round pick and it was received with disappointment and anger on social media from fans and players.
Thomas likely finishes his career with Denver well above the rest when it comes to accolades in franchise history, in fact. Thomas will sit only behind Rod Smith in franchise history in several receiving statistics for a career.

The Broncos do plan to recognize the recently-dealt Thomas with modified signage for Sunday’s game where in a crazy twist that only sports can provide. Thomas will join Houston, and play his now former team the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
The Broncos are looking forward to recognizing Demaryius at Sunday’s game against the Texans.
This includes modifying the signage into a “Thank You” banner honoring Demaryius’ many contributions to the Broncos & this community. https://t.co/fzwxPj89vF
