With the NFL combine looming — and an opportunity to get up close and personal with the crop of rookie quarterbacks close at hand — the Denver Broncos’ pursuit of their next starter turned on a dime in on Monday, when the Minnesota Vikings decided not to franchise or transition tag quarterback Case Keenum, and the Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to a three-year deal with their signal-caller, Blake Bortles.
The moves essentially take the Jaguars out of the running for prized free-agent Kirk Cousins… but they may make the Vikings the new favorites.
In the latest edition of the Broncos Blitz podcast, hosts Ronnie K and Shawn Drotar discuss how those moves affect the Broncos’ quarterback pursuit, and if the soon-to-be free agent Keenum has become Denver’s Plan B.
