It was an historic day in America as the United States Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in support of the constitutionality of same-sex marriage, a fact not lost on the sports scene.
In San Francisco, both the Giants and the 49ers showed their support. The Giants changed their Twitter avatar to a rainbow-colored Giants logo a few hours before their game with the Colorado Rockies.
The 49ers posted a tweet with the hashtag #LoveWins and an amended logo of their own.

Locally, Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried offered his thoughts and support to the LGBT community.
