Honoring DT: Eight great photos of number 88

Now that we finally know Demaryius Thomas will be tearing up defenders in the AFC West for another five years as a member of the Denver Broncos, we thought it an appropriate time to showcase some of our favorite pictures of DT over the past few years.

Thomas has earned a Pro Bowl nomination in each of the last three years while at the same time setting three of the top five all-time receiving marks, including a franchise record 1,619 yards last year. Thomas also tied for the franchise lead in single-season receiving touchdowns with 14 in 2014.

With a deal in the books, we offer up eight of our favorite DT photos from the past three years.

It was a pedestrian day by DT’s standards – one touchdown and 62 yards on five catches, but we love that two Kansas City Chiefs, cornerback Chris Owens (20) and free safety Husain Abdullah (39), couldn’t stop him on this touchdown that proved to be the game-winner.

Number two is actually two pictures because they show just how athletic Thomas can truly be. Denver lost to Atlanta in its second game with Peyton Manning at quarterback, but this touchdown gave us an early indication that Manning and Thomas could be something special.

In a shootout for the ages, DT made a leaping catch late in the fourth quarter against Dallas Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr (39). The Broncos went on to beat the Cowboys 51-48.
