Gary Kubiak wasted no time on Monday morning eliminating any lingering questions about who would be his Week 1 starter, officially naming Trevor Siemian the quarterback for the Sept. 8 opener against Carolina.
Siemian started Preseason Weeks 2 and 3, while Mark Sanchez played only one quarter in Preseason Week 2 after starting Preseason Week 1.
As expected, Twitter exploded with the news. Here’s some of the top hot takes and wild stats about Siemian the starter from the Denver and national sports media.

As expected, DT more of middling WR2, Sanders WR3. Expect heavy dose of CJA. Green likely shocker special at TE. https://t.co/B3K68Krf8F
