Is Nuggets vs Timberwolves a revenge game?

The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves might respect each other, but they don’t really like each other that much.

That’s obviously understandable after the playoffs in each of the last two seasons. The Nuggets defeated the Timberwolves on the way to Denver’s first championship in franchise history back in 2022-23. The very next year, Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves knocked out Denver in very definitive fashion before they had a chance to repeat.

How will the teams match up with each other this time around? Does the Karl-Anthony Towns trade for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo make things easier for Denver? What about Christian Braun replacing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope? Are the Nuggets ready for this game?

On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn previews the Denver Nuggets anticipated matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. The last time the Nuggets were in Minneapolis for real, they lost by nearly 50 points in Game 6. Will Denver look for some revenge in this matchup? Or do Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves have their number? Ryan breaks down the game and makes some predictions.
