The Denver Broncos saw two key players return to practice on Thursday as the team prepares for Friday’s final touch of game preparation before they head out to Indianapolis for Sunday’s Week 2 AFC matchup against the Colts.

John Franklin-Myers, Nate Adkins return to Broncos’ practice

After not participating in Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury, Denver Broncos defensive end John Franklin-Myers was back on the field on Thursday during the media viewing portion of practice.

He was a full participant and his on-field return is a good sign ahead of Sunday’s game.

Joining him back on the field was fullback/tight end Nate Adkins, who has been on the shelf for the last month or two after having tightrope ankle surgery during training camp. He was limited.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton said prior to roster cuts that Adkins is important to their offensive operation. It’s unclear whether or not he’ll be ready to play this Sunday, considering the layoff he’s had, but it’s worth monitoring.

Evan Engram was on the field for the Broncos for the second consecutive practice after suffering a calf injury during Sunday’s game, and was upgraded to being a full participant, which is a great sign regarding his potential status against the Colts.
