What is it with rookie quarterbacks and inflatable swans?
Two years ago, after being drafted by the Cleveland Browns, Johnny Manziel was photographed lying on an inflatable swan, chugging a bottle of champagne while in Austin, Texas, for the X Games.

At the time, most chalked it up to “boys being boys,” but little did we know, it was only the start of a long, dark road for Johnny Football.
This offseason, while at the NFLPA’s Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch was caught in another inflatable swan …
If you’re a Broncos fan, though, you have to feel a little more confident about Lynch that Browns fans felt about Manziel back in 2014. I mean, Jenga is a little more tame than a bottle of champagne.
It does show the stark contrast between a guy like Manziel (who the Broncos were rumored to be interested in earlier in the offseason) and Lynch. While Manziel is an immature kid, too full of himself to care about football, Lynch is a goofball who’s passion is slinging the ball around the football field.
Who knows if Lynch will ever develop into a perennial Pro Bowler, but Broncos fans can be confident that they’ve got a young quarterback worth rooting for.
