LNN: Should Denver Nuggets target third or fourth seed in Western Conference playoffs?

The Denver Nuggets have won nine games in a row and are currently positioned as the third seed in the Western Conference behind the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. Is that the best place for them though? Would it be better to be the third or fourth seed? Both pathways are difficult, but which path gives the Nuggets the best chance to win?
