Even if you’re not a diehard Broncos fan, that was a fantastic AFC Championship game we witnessed on Sunday. Actual plays aside, just think of the storylines. Sure, the Denver Broncos defense deserves 110 percent of the credit for the win, but this is a historical victory for Peyton Manning.
In what could (should) be his final season, he beat Tom Brady one last time to earn a trip to his fourth Super Bowl. Six weeks ago, an ending like this would have sounded like an absolute fairy tale, and maybe that’s exactly what it is.
