Congratulations to Ayden Eberhardt, a senior football player at Loveland High School, for receiving 971 votes out of a total 1,884 and being named the ASPIRE Athlete of the Week for Week 10!
Eberhardt is the quarterback for Loveland and recently led his 13th-seeded team all the way to the state title game against Windsor. The senior was the total offense leader this year for the Longs Peak 4A conference, making the Indians a contender all season long, and last year he was All-Conference at quarterback as well as academic All-State.
“As one of the team captains, Ayden takes responsibility for his actions and his teammates by being the first in all the drills and pushing his teammates to be the best they can be. He organizes team activities so that everyone is included and truly treats his teammates as family members,” explained Loveland head coach Stan Matsunaka. “As his coach, I give him great latitude to change plays at the line of scrimmage to adjust to what he sees. This is based on the trust that I have in him to make good decisions. I can’t say enough good things about him.”
Ayden currently carries a 3.98 GPA at Loveland High School, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is an active in DECA, student council, ADAM Club, Young Life and Christian Athletes.
“Ayden is a gifted student-athlete and leader who strives to achieve the best for all those around him in everything he does inside and outside of the school building,” added Coach Matsunaka.
Ayden’s interview will air Sunday morning on the Mile High Sports Show (7a-9a) on FM 104.3 The Fan, but we’ve also got a sneak peek below.
