Congratulations to Eliza Rhee, a freshman swimming at Fountain Valley School of Colorado, for receiving 1,545 votes out of a total 3,479 and being named the ASPIRE Athlete of the Week for Week 18!
Eliza is already generating a lot of attention for her skill in the pool and her drive to compete. The freshman led the Danes 200 medley relay team to qualify for the 4A state meet and won the 100 free in the Fountain-Fort Carson Invitational in January.
“Eliza makes everyone on our team better because above all else she loves swimming,” stated Fountain Valley School of Colorado’s head swimming coach, Rob Gustke. “Her performance in meets is a natural extension of her excellent technical swimming in practice.”
Outside of the pool, Eliza is equally impressive, currently holding a 3.99 GPA at Fountain Valley and giving back to her peers by taking the time to help tutor her fellow freshman in biology.
“Eliza sees great value in the concept of hard and consistent work,” continued Coach Gustke. “She is a living example of Aristotle’s idea of, ‘We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.’ Eliza is a great athlete to coach because she trains hard, models a strong work ethic to her teammates, and loves to compete.”
Congratulations again to Eliza Rhee for being named the ASPIRE Athlete of the Week for Week 18! ASPIRE Sports Drinks are now available at all Target, Safeway and Whole Foods locations.
