Nelson Spruce is not concerned with college football at the moment. He’s too busy trying to make an NFL team.
But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have an opinion. When his L.A. Rams played in Denver last weekend, Spruce weighed in on the upcoming Rocky Mountain Showdown.
“I think the Buffs have got it this year,” said the former Buff, Spruce – perhaps predictably. “I don’t know what type of situation Colorado State is in, but I think we’re headed in the right direction at CU.
“We’ve got a lot of seniors and juniors that are making a lot of contributions. I think it will be a year for us. We’re always hyped up for that game.”
The Buffs will have to do it without one of last year’s biggest weapons however – and that would be the man himself, Spruce, who set or tied 43 school or conference records while playing for Mike MacIntyre.
On Friday, while coincidentally hoping to make the LA Rams‘ final 53-man roster, Spruce took to Instagram to show his support for his former team.
